[Comedy] Why Do famous brands rebrand?

As everyone knows Laqroki is the new brand name of the former skin store, RaC (aka Raspberry and Cow). I’ve then wondered what makes SL content designers tick when it comes to the decision of rebranding. Here’s my thought on the subject…
*thoughts after the bump*
For the sake of not being sued, shouted at, cursed at or being sent a cease and desist letter, I’ve decided to change names of the aforementioned victims characters.
Customer: Hey.
Callory Mowen: Hey.
Customer: What’s up?
Callory Mowen: Nothing much, you?
Customer: Same. RaC is a stupid name.
Callory Mowen: I know, I was thinking of it while eating cows.
Customer: You mean beef, right?
Callory Mowen: No, I mean cows.
Customer: Uhh.. okay. Then what was the raspberry for?
Callory Mowen: That was just random, I dream of monster raspberries chasing down cows while I was drooling on my keyboard.
Customer: That’s gross.
Callory Mowen: I know, people love it though. I crack up everytime someone says RaC, it sounds like boobies.
Customer: Shit man, you’re perverted.
Callory Mowen: No one has to know!
Customer: Alright… are you changing the name?
Callory Mowen: Uh, why? I like Rack. I meant RaC.
Customer: How about something elegant?
Callory Mowen: Something french?
Customer: No, what about something french?
Callory Mowen: Femme sophistiqué.
Customer: I can’t pronounce that, how about Laqroki?
Callory Mowen: What’s that?
Customer: I don’t know, it’s stupid like RaC.
Callory Mowen: Okie, Laqroki it is.
I am sure that’s not how Mallory Cowen thought it up, but since she won’t release a statement as to her reasons for a name change, I thought to do it for her Callory Mowen. Don’t sue me!
